Treatment of Neuro-Developmental Disorders (ASD & ADHD) through behaviour modification approach to CBT
4 May 2017
Individuals on the neuro-developmental spectrum with the diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity/Impulsivity Disorder and/or Autism Spectrum Disorders don’t often respond to psychodynamic or standard CBT. They often fall between the gaps and either become dejected with the system of help or come back through the revolving doors over a number of years. If assessed and diagnosed appropriately, the enhanced behaviour modification model within the framework of CBT has recently provided evidence towards better outcomes.
The first part of the workshop will focus dissemination of information on the nature of ADHD and ASD. The second part of the workshop will focus on the behaviour modification dimensions and applying interventions for the treatment of ADHD and ASD.
