Teaching research methods & statistics in schools, universities and beyond
30 November 2016
Teaching Statistics and research methods has been considered a thankless task by many given students perceived dislike of the subject. However, across the country a lot of great work has been done changing students experiences of the subject and transforming teaching practices. The aim of this workshop is to bring together best practice and new approaches to teaching Research Methods and Statistics. The secondary aim of the workshop is to aid discussion and understanding of how the subject is taught at different levels. During the day there will be a combination of talks by innovators, a PechaKucha session and interactive seminars. The workshop will facilitate networking with colleagues from different levels of education about techniques and activities you have developed. We hope everyone will leave the workshop with some great new ideas to help you to deliver exceptional lectures and classes.
